I'm a fan of using a desk pad, so I figured I'd give this a shot when I needed a new pet food mat, and it's turned out to be a winner. The color are fantastic, the size are just what I needed, and I appreciate how effortlessly it wipes clean after my cat turns it into a canvas for wet food art. Sometimes, items like these come with a weird plastic-y smell, but not the case with this mat. It's a breeze to wash in the sink and dries quickly too!

I employed this mat to secure my water stones. The stones remain steady during sharpening, and the small lip around the edge effectively keeps water and swarf contained.
